Parent Volunteers – Backstage Support
We are so grateful for our parent volunteers—your help is what makes our recital run smoothly!
General Guidelines (Please Read Carefully)
-Volunteers are assigned to support all students, not just their own.
-You will not be able to watch your dancer perform from backstage or go into the audience.
-You may not always be placed with your child or in your first-choice position.
-Positions are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. (Please choose ONE position below)
-You must remain at your assigned post for the entire performance.
-Volunteers are dismissed only by their Area Lead at the end of the show.
Available Spots

Arrive early and stay after the show ends.
Check dancers in and out to ensure all students are accounted for.
Contact families if a dancer has not arrived within 15 minutes of showtime.
Can be paired with a lighter-duty position.
Supervise young dancers in the classroom area.
Keep students calm, entertained, and performance-ready.
Escort students to the restroom as needed.
Maintain a 1 adult per 5 students ratio.
Ensure all students are picked up before leaving.
Assist with room cleanup at the end of the show.
Locate and escort dancers when they are called to line up.
Help move groups between backstage areas or sides of the stage.
Keep transitions running on time.
Stationed at Stage Left or Stage Right.
Help dancers change costumes quickly and efficiently.
Keep costumes organized and tidy after changes.
Sell items before the show and during intermission.
Manage auditorium doors (open/close at appropriate times).
Help keep lobby areas running smoothly.
Best suited for those not planning to watch the performance.
Arrive before doors open.
Assist guests with seating and directions.
Help maintain an organized and welcoming environment.
