Tips for Families

Extended families are usually the first line of support when a new baby arrives. A meal train signup keeps the help organized so the new parents get varied, spaced-out meals instead of five casseroles on the same day from five well-meaning relatives.

Include Out-of-Town Family

Add delivery service slots (DoorDash, Uber Eats gift cards) for family members who live far away and can't deliver in person.

Note Baby's Arrival Date

Include the due date or actual birth date in the sheet description so family can plan meals for the right window — typically starting 2–3 days after coming home.

Coordinate Freezer Meals

Ask family members to label their containers with the dish name, date, and reheating instructions. New parents will appreciate not guessing what's in the foil pan.
