Fall Festival Volunteer Signup Sheet

Fall festivals — whether at a school, church, or community park — need a small army of volunteers for game booths, food stations, face painting, pumpkin patches, and setup and teardown. A signup sheet organizes the whole operation so every booth is staffed and every shift is covered.

Tips for Fall Festival

Fall festivals are signature events for schools, churches, and neighborhoods. They feature game booths, food vendors, pumpkin patches, hayrides, and trunk-or-treat lanes — each requiring staffing. A volunteer signup sheet ensures the event has enough hands from setup to final cleanup.

Create Booth-Specific Slots

Name each slot after the booth or station — ring toss, face painting, pumpkin decorating, popcorn machine, ticket booth. Volunteers pick the activity they want to run.

Stagger Shifts for Long Events

Fall festivals often run 4 to 6 hours. Create two or three shift blocks per booth so no one is stuck the entire event and more families can help.

Include Pre-Event and Post-Event Roles

Add setup shifts (morning of), mid-event float volunteers (to cover bathroom and snack breaks), and teardown shifts. These are often the hardest roles to fill.
